Unsure as to if this page will go anywhere. These are the main stories and arcs concerning my various OCs...
Short Stories/Things that I let others write or I do so when there's time
The Art of Redemption
I am currently writing a story/novel/thing i'm spending too much time on when I should be studying, on Nyra and Exsohs. The story takes place in the world of Oppidum. Set in a world of predatory mammals and griffins, a prominent assassin is offered a chance at redemption from the king. The problem is he has been assigned a Griffin to work with, one who has a troubled past of her own. Working Title is The Art of Redemption, not sure if I'm going to keep it that Tales of Oppidum
This is simply the compiled works of every commissioned writing I have of my Oppidum ocs. There isn't a larger arc, they are all separate. |
Asherah
This is Lucifer's story, about half of the time it's written by Lioden authors, the other half me when I'm brainstorming/getting rid of writers block. Leap forward two hundred years, and what has changed? Certainly not the existence of bigotry, or fear, or greed, or hate. Time hasn't curbed the human hunger for homicide. Enter Kailu Parker of the LAPD - overworked, underpaid, but burning with a passion to clear the streets of crime. The detective's desire for justice lands her a case surrounding the biggest hollywood star of the century. Introduce Lucifer Noxsonn. Born on one an off world cult colonies, his rise to fame included the cold case murder of his sister and a controversial film series everyone but Detective Parker has heard of. Brash and entitled, Lucifer's connections and fortune is exactly she needs. The unlikely duo sets off to discover the true culprit of the city's latest murder, which may be more nefarious than either the detective or the writer are equipped to handle. |
Healer
Embermist has writing commissioned for her that I've just compiled into a loose story arc called Healer. What if Skyclan never left the forest? What if the clans never moved the the lake? The five warrior clans are together once again, but bloodshed is on the horizon. Riverclan and Skyclan circle one annother in a conflict that will undoubtedly bring the rest of the clans in the line of fire. The Skyclan medicine cat, Embermist, may be the only one who can stop the two clans from being swept away in the tides of war. Each piece is written by a different author on Lioden. |
Novels/Things that I put a little more time into
If You Kill Me, Who Dies?
The Sector V Ocs have a story that is my second main priority besides Classified Assignment. It's heavy WIP, and the first chapters been rewritten at least seven times. Oh, well.
Trip Lawrence knows three things. The first, never give up on family - they're all you have. The second, life in Sector V is hard - you have to fight to protect everything you have . The third, vigilantism is the only way for a better future - anything you have, it will take. When Johnathan Rowland - his adoptive father, mentor, and the Sector's resident vigilante, Reckoning - is killed, Trip must quickly decide what he holds dearest - his Sector, his family, or his alter ego Euchre. And just what it he'll do to protect it. |
Classified Assignment
This is very much Kylior's story even though it's only in his perspective about a third of the time. It's my main WIP, and I have to say that I've kind of swept everything else under the rug to work on it.
In the far distant future two galactic powers, the Commonwealth and the Union, engage in a deadly dalliance for control of every know and established galaxy. Rylen Thompson doesn't pay much attention to the why behind the war, he's too busy surviving on the fount as one of the Union's time traveling Kahkorr Soldiers. It's taken him a lifetime to carve his place in the galaxy, and along with his Phalanx who he considers family, he knows to keep it the questions must be kept at bay. Yet after a mission gone wrong, Rylen's Phalanx must begin to question everything - who to trust, what to do, and most importantly how to survive. With alies dead, many actively attempting their murder, and old enemies the only ones holding answers, questions are the only plentiful things. Answers, however, are in short supply. |
Darkest Minds
My newest thing, just barely out of WIP hell. I'm really sad that Fox's Lucifer was canceled and coping by watching too much of BBC's Sherlock and this happened?
How much is an emotion worth? Extracting what once was considered a fundamental part of being, Trait Banks give monetary means to a once unquantifiable asset. A talent? Dashiel Crane is called many things, freak most commonly gifted most kindly. His astounding intellect, powers of observation, and ability to deduce aide him as Lieutenant of Republic Cities’ Trait Larceny Department. Though the prowess of his mind does little to quell his addictive personality or endear him to his peers. But alone protects him. Alone protects others. A personality? Mariner Coul is a liar. She takes many names - many missions - for the sake of her father and brother. Her family name strikes fear into the hearts of Trait Banks and all who value their attributes. The perpetrators of Republic City, if not the nation's, largest larceny operation claim her familial ties. She’s going to ensure they stay on top. A facet? Both Mariner and Dashiel's games end with the other’s demise. To get there the daughter of thieves must play as one of the angels. While the genius pretends to play with others. But once the stage is set will either be able to shed their disguises? |
Heavily WIP/Things I keep trying not to write but the ideas keep bugging me
The Enemy of my Enemy is Insufferable
This is very easily another novel, but kinda WIPish cause I don't have anything outlined.
The revolutionary game show televising one thing - war. Afterpiece’s winning formula of throwing half a million participates onto a planet sized Set, leaving them there for nine years, and promising fame and fortune to the survivors, has given them the greatest thing to hit airwaves since, well, ever. Two armies, protagonists pitted against antagonists, cameras rolling on priorly picked Leads, it’s the market's answer to the Galaxy’s demands. In the beginning… She is no one, unmolded clay waiting for the world to shape. In an ironic twist that seals her fate, she meets a boy - crafted entirely out of other's ideals. In the end… Wren Champion is the hero, and Bo Naryins her villain. She's the enemy he won't kill, and he's the monster she can't hate. The training camp for contestants. Seventeen years older, everyone whose name she knows dead and her closest confidant someone she can no longer recognize, Wren returns to the only place she’s ever called home - Backstage. As a instructor, she can only watch as other children allow themselves to be groomed for the game show that simultaneously destroyed and saved her. Faced with her past, touching the future, Wren discovers that a gilded cage is still a prison. Will the girl, trying to keep from falling apart, suddenly forced into becoming a woman, unable to face the stranger's eyes in the mirror, be able to escape the shadow of Afterpiece or will she become another casualty of a war that never existed? |
There are No Lies
A very fun one here. It's ATLA but with 100% more dragons. Maybe ATLA + Eragon.
Long ago the dragon siblings created all that exists. They gave us great gifts, but the greatest of all would be from their blood came the ability to channel the elements. The dragons were hunted to extinction, or so we thought. Stumbling upon the last known dragon egg, a young girl and her brother must attempt to raise it under the looming threat of the raging war and subjugation. In the end this idea exists in WIP hell I wasn't able to write it without the characters basically turning into carbon copies of the Gaang. Plus, if you want to write a redemption arc in a story that already looks like you're relying on ATLA, you might as well just stop (Cause Zuko's arc is one of those untouched marvels of human ingenuity, obviously) Although I do love this story, it's abandoned. Blood Drips Down
I was full blown into this WIP for weeks, I wrote like four chapters and outlined a bunch more. In the end I just kinda... lost interest? It was a story told many times before a heroine falling in love with a prince though a little more complex.
Vihn is a slave basically and good friends with her master. Her masters's sister is betrothed to the king's heir through an arranged marriage. Before that can happen though an earthquake fells the residence and all of Vihn's masters die. She's for some reason mistaken for her master and taken to the capitol and as compensation, betrothed to the second son. Shenanigans ensue, they fall in love, overthrow the king, hurrah! Anyway i felt unqualified to tell the story i wanted to tell about slavery, abuse, and bigotry. So this was scrapped. |
A Pernicious Sin of Gods
This thing is one of the very first pieces I've ever written and it holds a rather interesting place in my heart. It's heavily inspired by mythology and the Loki/Thor dynamic in the marvel movies.
It tells the story of one Caeliosious Maven No one's Son the God of Choice. Charismatic, manipulative, charming, cunning and ruthless to the extreme. He's pretty evil but very screwed up by his family, being the youngest son of the God of Gods. Every one kinda mistreats him and such even his brother Vhis, the god of power who as children used adore one another. From his birth he excels in magic and is targeted by the Godslayer who manipulates him and basically poisons him. He falls in love with the goddess of Compassion and depending on what draft of APSoG I'm working on incites a rebellion/attacks earth/many horrible things and Compassion ends up getting hung and Caei goes completely insane. But the problem with the story, besides the nonexistent coherent plot, is that for it to work Caei has to be 100% irredeemably evil and crazy. I love his character so much that I can't bring myself to do it. Thus this work is probably always going to be WIP and abandoned, but I love Caei to a fault and can't bring myself to Finnish his story the way it needs to be done (with his death.) (Although I do have another version of the story where he succeeds in rebellion, Compassion still dies and he goes crazy and kills all the gods, comes to earth to try and subjugate us, ends up captured by the US government, imprisoned, a Physicist by the name of Josephine is tasked with figuring out what he is, Caei likes her because she looks a lot like Compassion, basically there's elaborate mind games and manipulation, Josephine falls in love with him, frees him, he kills her and then himself. So yeah, Caei's story is very messed up no matter how I try to write it. So I just don't) |
