At age eight every citizen of the Union is Classified. Classification tests are ten questions that at the end decide which of the eleven Classifications a person is.
Classifications are based off of eleven traits - honesty (honest or liar), temperament (temperamental, emotional, unemotional) , leadership (commanding, leader, follower), intelligence (genius, intelligent, unintelligent), empathy (empathetic or unempathetic), decisiveness (decisive or indecisive), loyalty (loyal or not loyal), cooperation (cooperative or uncooperative), credulous (trusting or untrusting), and socialness (social or loner). The Classification test determines how high or low (on a scale of one to ten) that person is with each trait. Black - Honest (8-10) Temperamental (8-10) Commanding (8-10) Genius (8-10) Empathetic (8-10) Decisive (8-10) Loyal (8-10) Cooperative (8-10) Trusting (8-10) Social (8-10) - Blacks are thought of (along with Whites) to be one of the least desirable Classifications. They have no medium traits, with all of their aptitudes being considered high. They are too trusting, loyal, and honest. They have too many emotions, and are decisive to the point of folly. They do not make good leaders. Green - Honest (8-10) Emotional (4-7) Leader (4-7) Intelligent (4-7) Empathetic (8-10) Decisive (4-7) Loyal (8-10) Cooperative (8-10) Trusting (4-7) Social (8-10) - Greens are huge team players, and every team is bolstered by one. They are willing to sacrifice themselves for those they love. They have too much empathy for those they make bonds with. They are good motivators. Red - Honest (4-7) Temperamental (8-10) Commanding (8-10) Intelligent (4-7) Empathetic (8-10) Decisive (8-10) Loyal (4-7) Uncooperative (1-3) Untrusting (1-3) Social (4-7) - Reds are wary feelers. They are too opinionated and often have dominating controlling presence to be effective leaders. They balance out feelers like Yellows and Greens. Often thought of be be right hand mans. Orange - Honest (4-7) Temperamental (8-10) Leader (4-7) Genius (8-10) Empathetic (8-10) Indecisive (1-3) Loyal (8-10) Cooperative (8-10) Untrusting (1-3) Loner (1-3) - Oranges are genuineness, the most intelligent of all the Classifications. They work well with others, if prone to occasional angry outbursts. They are feelers while keeping their wits about them. They are often scientists and mechanics. Silver - Liar (1-3) Emotional (4-7) Leader (4-7) Genius (8-10) Empathetic (4-7) Decisive (4-7) Loyal (4-7) Uncooperative (1-3) Untrusting (1-3) Loner (1-3) - Silvers are thought to be the second best Classification, next to Greys. Their aptitudes almost balance each other out. However, they are thought to have too strong of morals, too intelligent, and able to tell compelling lies. They often make good politicians or government officials. Grey - Honest (4-7) Emotional (4-7) Leader (4-7) Intelligent (4-7) Empathetic (4-7) Decisive (4-7) Loyal (4-7) Cooperative (4-7) Trusting (4-7) Social (4-7) - Greys are thought of as the best Classifications. They are all medium in aptitudes and are born leaders. Their aptitudes balance each other out they they round out all teams. They are always clam and in control, they know when to take action and when not to. Thought of as the perfect person, balanced. Purple - Honest (4-7) Temperamental (8-10) Leader (4-7) Genius (8-10) Empathetic (4-7) Decisive (8-10) Loyal (8-10) Uncooperative (1-3) Untrusting (1-3) Loner (1-3) - Purples are loyal to a fault. Once their trust is earned it is unconditional love. They put their teams over themselves, yet prefer to be by themselves. Yellow - Honest (8-10) Emotional (4-7) Leader (4-7) Unintelligent (1-3) Empathetic (4-7) Indecisive (1-3) Loyal (8-10) Cooperative (8-10) Trusting (8-10) Social (4-7) - Yellows are the heart of many teams. They balance out negativity and deflate conflicts. They are good pilots, while often thought of as one of the less desirable traits. Blue - Liars (1-3) Unemotional (1-3) Followers (1-3) Genius (8-10) Unempathetic (1-3) Indecisive (1-3) Loyal (4-7) Cooperative (4-7) Untrusting (1-3) Social (8-10) - Blues are the calm skeptics of any group, and serve to balance out reds. They are not fit for leadership and will change their own opinions to appease others. They are often medics. White - Liars (1-3) Unemotional (1-3) Followers (1-3) Unintelligent (1-3) Unempathetic (1-3) Indecisive (1-3) Not loyal (1-3) Uncooperative (1-3) Untrusting (1-3) Loner (1-3) - Whites are thought of (along with Blacks) to be one of the least desirable Classifications. They have no medium traits, with all of their aptitudes being considered low. They are too skeptical and withdrawn to work well on teams. They are followers with few ethics. |
At age sixteen if a person has not chosen an occupation, or been given one they will be assigned a life long job. This is considered an Assignment.
Assignment's are lifelong and it is almost unheard of for a person to switch Assignments. Assignments are correlated with Classifications, as some jobs are predominately dominated by one Classification (Doctors = Blues, Pilots = Oranges, Scientists = Yellows, Silvers = Politicians) RULES OF THE UNION

The Union has a heavy emphasis on being one whole. Only with all the planets together can they hope to fight the Commonwealth. This emphasis on being united transcends into families, which are often close knit. 2) Victory or may my blade claim my life
The Union is rather militaristic, and they prioritize winning battles almost as high as unity. Without winning there is no purpose to living, and each member of the union understand that failure is not an option and would rather die than experience it. 3) Honor above all
To the Union the most important thing, above money or fame, is honor. It dictates their lives fuels their society. Dishonorable acts are the worst crime in the eyes of Union Citizens. 4) Death before Dishonor

In the Union, to be weak or to show weakness is akin to dishonor. To be an honorable person is to be strong, while having weakness is to have no honor. Classification Stigmas
Union Government
The Union is governed by a Matriarch and four Councilors. The Councilors are elected by the people and serve for life (though they fight on the war front so it's not uncommon for them to die quickly), while the Matriarch is a hereditary position much like a king.
However, at the death of every Matriarch any Union Citizen can go to the heir's crowning ceremony and appeal for a Duel for the Union. This is a battle to the death, where the victor becomes the new Matriarch, this is to ensure that the Matriarch is always the most honorable and respected member of the union. The war has gone on for hundreds of years with neither of the sides ever gaining much ground. The reason for the war is domination of the galaxy, and no one can quite remember what peace is. The war is a matter of honor for the Union, the call to arms that life as a solider provides is one of the best way Citizens think they can serve.

Union Citizens are any person who lives within the boundaries of the union who was conceived using at least one germ cell that wasn't constructed artificially.
Meaning... Union Citizen x Mog = Union Citizen 1/2 Mog x Mog = Union Citizen Union Citizen Germ x Union Citizen Germ (but then genome sequence genetically altered) = Union Citizen

Derogatory slang for a Genetically Enhanced and Artificially Curated Specimen.
These are humans not recognized as such because the germ cells used to create them where genetically engineered instead of coming from a Union Citizen. Mogs are not considered human, and technically have no gender referred to as 'it'. All Mogs have greatly reduced life spans because of their genetic instability. KAHKORR SOLDIERS
Kahkorrs are a special type of Union Solider, they work in teams of five called a Phalanx. Each Councilor and Matriarch has a Phalanx, thus at any given time there are only ever twenty five Kahkorrs.
These special strike teams are typically on the war font, gathering information and executing missions. They are typically given high risk high reward assignments.
While all Kahkorrs are in peak physical and mental condition it is really a Kahkorr's weapon which differentiates them from all other soldiers.

The Ujian is an ancient weapon whose schematics have been lost to time. Shaped almost identical to Cresent Moon Knives, it allows it's user to transfer their consciousness back in time. The weapon takes a person's neurological functions and transfers it back through the Timestream. This takes extreme concentration and energy reserves, and one Kahkorr can only typically send themselves back several hours.
This is the reason for the Kahkorr Phalanx, as the Ujian is able to interlock with other Ujians, is for the sole purpose of allowing longer Jumps. A Phalanx working in perfect unity can execute a jump back of several weeks. Each Phalanx must be able to work as one whole as any disturbance when executing Jumps could potentially cause all of their consciousnesses to be severed from their bodies. The Ujian is also able to transform into different weapons based on the personality of the Kahkorr using it - typically only one other blade. The most accomplished Kahkorrs have Ujians that are able to transform into multiple different weapons. |
